Trouble makes me inactive.
It paralyses me, to the core, for as long as it likes.
I’d like to fight-
To gather these hours and kneed them into a weapon, an antidote, a readiness.
I’d like to flee-
To escape the dangers that threaten life, joy and peace.
I’d like to fight the fear.
I’d like to flee the pain.
But neigh.
Trouble makes me inactive.
It paralyses me, to the core, for as long as it lasts.
